A veteran criminal (Eastwood) has never been caught, and his latest burglary is interupted when a man walks in with a woman. Eastwood hides, the man and the woman start fighting, and the woman ends up dead. But an even bigger problem is the fact that the man is the US President. Our 'hero' escapes the house with the feds in hot pursuit, attempting to pin the murder on Eastwood, who also has a daughter to convince of his innocence, and protect her too.
I thought this was a really good thriller, with Hackman again playing the high power baddie, and Eastwood plays the good guy even though he's a thief. I found this film thoroughly entertaining, and a good one to watch if you like thrillers. There's a fair bit of action, and the plot is fairly simple and doesn't get too complicated. The basic idea has been done before where one guy is trying to avoid the whole government and manages to not get caught, but the result here was a good film. I don't remember there being much in the way of swearing or violence, so kids will be able to see it too.
