The club mascot of the Miami Dolphins, Snowflake, is stolen just before the play-offs, and it's up to Ace Ventura (Carrey) to solve the case. Ace Ventura doesn't 'do humans', but is a very unique detective, he's a pet detective. Ace must work out who stole the dolphin, and along the way he has to cope with Inspector Einhorn (Sean Penn), plus there's romance in the form of Melissa Robinson (Cox) who works for the club.
This is a great film, and if Carrey doesn't have you in stitches then something is wrong. This film saved Carrey's career, and is hilarious. The stupid antics obviously won't appeal to everyone, but the majority of you will like it. Forget the story, because the film is all about Jim Carrey, and is really just a spoof. The main audience would be pre-teens to parents of kids.
