A documentary film crew in the Amazon come up against more than they expected, when members are picked off one by one by a giant anaconda snake. On their way they pick up snake poacher John Voight, who appears to be a 'good guy', but isn't quite as he seems. Actually, the snake doesn't appear until Voight does, but never mind.
Anyway, Lopez is the leader, along with Stoltz (who is injured so doesn't really do much) and they have to decide how best to tackle their giant predator, but Voight has ideas of his own. It seems he doesn't actually care if crew members are eaten, as long as manages to catch it.
Good fun, and you know what you're going to see before you watch it. The snake effects are good in some scenes (computer generated), but others it just looks like plastic. Ice Cube gives a pretty good performance, but Voight is the main star as his character is different from all the others (the film crew are all basically playing the same characters, with little distinguishing differences). Anyone who is just looking for a good action flick with a simple plot should watch this one, but some scenes are a little violent for kids.
